Welcome

Welcome to iCAD Docs

Welcome to the comprehensive technical documentation for iCAD software. This platform provides everything you need to master iCAD, from basic concepts to advanced techniques.

What is iCAD?

iCAD is a novel Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for water resources developmemnt projects. It ebales engineers and designers to analyse, design, and document project components with precise 2D and 3D models.

It is built as an all-in-one solution. Engineers can design and model their solutions using advanced computational tools. They can generated precise drawings to AutoCAD. They can also enerate accurate quantity estiamtes, all from one environemnt. It eliminates the need to juggle between applications. Along with this potential error in data handling and management between applicaitons is minimzed. Automated quantity and drawing generation meanse zero room for manual error.

iCAD significantly streamlines workflow, and improves the quality of design documents. It also saves substantial time thanks to its automated workflow.

Key Features

  • Precision Drawing: Create accurate 2D technical drawings
  • Automated Quantity Estimates: Complete, Detailed, and Accurate quantity estimates for entire projects.
  • Modular Solution: Easy to use, with one intituive invironment and modular solutions for differnet tasks.
  • Collaboration Tools: Share and collaborate on design projects

Using this site

This site is organized in chapters relating to each module. The contents of each module have two important sections:

  1. Usage guidance: Provide step by step guidance and explanation on the features available, modelling techniques, and ways for generating design products. Setting the the modules for solving design problems is also covered in detail.

  2. Technical Notes: This section provides technical information on the theory and practice that informed the development and use cases of the moduels. It cites the specific design approaches, relevant models and equations, as well as availble alternatives.
